1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions set out the agreement between Eddy Leasing Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”) and you, the customer. By booking our services, you agree to these terms.

We operate as a booking service for removals in the UK. All work is carried out by self-employed contractors, each responsible for their own tax, insurance, and compliance with relevant laws.


2. Operative Relationship

Operatives engaged through us are independent contractors, not employees. Each operative:

  • Is responsible for their own tax and National Insurance.
  • Maintains Public Liability Insurance.
  • Must handle and transport customer items safely and professionally.
  • Is personally liable for any loss or damage caused by their own actions.

We act only as a facilitator and accept no responsibility for the performance or conduct of individual operatives.


3. Services

These independent operators provide these services:

  • Domestic and commercial removals
  • Transport of furniture, belongings, and equipment
  • Loading and unloading support

Packing services are available only if agreed in advance.


4. Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide safe, unobstructed access to properties and items.
  • Give an accurate description of items, including size and quantity.
  • Properly pack and secure fragile or valuable goods.
  • Inform us of any special requirements in advance.


5. Booking and Payment

  • Bookings can be made by phone, email, or website.
  • Payment is due immediately upon completion, unless agreed otherwise.
  • A deposit (normally £100) may be required for certain bookings.
  • Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled job. Later cancellations may result in a fee.


6. Liability

We are not responsible for:

  • Damage caused by restricted access, unsafe conditions, or inaccurate item descriptions.
  • Delays due to traffic, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances.
  • Loss or damage caused by operatives acting outside the agreed service.

All claims relating to damage or loss must be directed to the operative concerned, as they are individually liable.


7. Data Protection

We comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Customer details are used only to deliver our services and will not be shared with third parties without consent. See our Privacy Policy for further details.


8. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.


9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always be published on our website and will take effect immediately.
